KHS Names Valedictorian

Valedictorian for the class of 2009 is TYSON JOSEPH PERRY. Tyson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mikal Perry.  He is graduating with a cumulative GPA of 6.762.  TYSON has met the Texas Success Initiative and is a UIL Scholar. 

Salutatorian for the class of 2009 is WILLIAM LEONARD JOHNSON. William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Johnson.  He is graduating with a cumulative GPA of 6.072.  William has met the Texas Success Initiative and is a UIL scholar.

NEW Immunization Requirements for August 2009

The new changes in the immunization requirements will go into effect August 1, 2009. Please pay careful attention to the changes that may affect your child. Any student not in compliance with the state immunization requirements at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START SCHOOL. Class schedules will not be given out to anyone not in compliance with the new state immunization requirements.

Kaufman ISD is implementing a new system for emergency communications using electronic media (computers and cell phones) as the communication tools. This system allows the District to communicate its emergencies, like weather closures, to its staff, employees and other interested subscribers DIRECTLY to their home computers and personal cell phones.
