Do not forget to vote Today during your lunch period. There will be a table set up with several yearbook students who will be collecting votes and money for this year's yearbook. The yearbooks are $65 and you will be voting on rather you would like to keep the book as it always has been or if you would like a spring book which will result in fewer pages than normal. But you can purchase a supplement with additional pages that will be delivered in the summer. The students can explain before you vote if there is any confusion or you can see Mrs. Hetmer in room B19. Thanks and have a great day!

FCCLA will have a meeting on Tuesday at 3:35 in room A7. We will have a guest speaker so please be on time for the meeting.

Congratulations to the Varsity Tennis team on their 2nd place finish at the Duncanville Tournament. Caroline Costello and Hunter Smith won another Mixed Doubles Title. Brittany Slatton and Kelsey Scales took 2nd in Girls Doubles. Julia Lovegren finished 2nd in Singles. Sam Dominguez and Josh Scales and teammates Kailey Lampkin and Brittany Stevens finished 3rd in Doubles. Diana Delagarza took 4th in Singles.

Kaufman FFA attended a jackpot show Saturday, Nov. 14th, in Canton.
The results are as follows:
Cami Cunningham received Grand Champion Steer.
Micah Stahlman received Supreme Grand Champion Heifer, Grand Champion Angus Heifer, and her steer placed 2nd in its class.
Hannah Stahlman received Reserve Grand Champion Angus Heifer and her steer placed 3rd in its class.
Cody Easley's goat placed 3rd in its class.
Sarah DeShazo's goat placed 3rd in its class.
Casey Roe showed his heifers and placed 3rd in class with his Angus and 4th in class with his Santa Gertrudis.
Austin Moorman's steer placed 5th in its class.
Brooke Bowers' goat placed 4th in its class.
Marshall White's goat placed 4th in its class.
Colton Garner's goat placed 5th in its class.
Natalee Olivarez's goat placed 5th in its class.
Justin White's goat placed 6th in its class.
Doug Mott's goat placed 6th in its class.
Zack Starek's goat placed 7th in its class.
Cody Garner's goat placed 8th in its class.

These students represented Kaufman FFA and Kaufman Jr. FFA well - we are proud of their accomplishments!

The Lady Lions lost a heart-breaker to Argyle on Saturday night. The team went 5 games with Argyle, and lost game number 5, 15-11. Congratulations to all Lady Lion volleyball players. What a great season! The Lady Lions ended the season with a 29-7 record! The Lady Lions and I would like to thank all of our fans who have supported all season long! Support at a game can make all the difference in the world--those of you that have been supporting us since August have been amazing! Thanks again and Lady Lions, thank you for an amazing run! See you in the gym!

Congratulations to the Varsity Tennis Team for winning the Fall Festival Trn. last Friday. It was an all Kaufman final in all the doubles events and Julia Lovegren won girls singles. Winners in doubles were Sam Dominguez and Josh Scales in boys, Kailey Lampkin and Brittany Stevens in girls, and Caroline Costello and Hunter Smith in mixed. 2nd place finishers were Will Dominguez and Bryanr Ford in boys, Kelsy Scales and Brittany Slatton in girls, and Macie Kelley and Jarrett Vincik in mixed. Alex Tedesco solidified the team win by winning the Consolation finals in girls singles. Great Job team.

Congratulations to Coach Paine for being named the "3A Coach of the Year" in the State of Texas by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association. Coach Paine will be honored at a banquet in December where she will receive the award.

Kaufman FFA attended a jackpot show Saturday in Van. 11 students attended and made a great showing. Results were as follows:

Micah Stahlman's heifer received 1st in its class and Grand Champion overall. Her steer received 5th place in its class.

Hannah Stahlman's heifer received 2nd in its class and her steer place 2nd in its class as well.

Emilio Lozano's lamb placed 1st in its class and received 4th overall.

Chase Armitage's goat received 2nd in its class.

Kalon Fritz's lamb placed 5th in its class.

Hallie Burt placed 5th in class with her lamb.

Gil Altom placed 5th in class with his goat.

Austin Moorman's steer received 6th place in its class.

Cody Easly's goat reveived 10th in its class.

Danny Kopecky showed her goat and placed 12th in her class.

Billy Lawler's goat received 12th in its class.

The majority of these students had never been in show ring before. We are extremely proud of the way they represented Kaufman!

Kaufman FFA Fruit Fundraiser is due TOMORROW, Nov. 10th!

Kaufman FFA Leadership Development Event is tomorrow, Nov. 10 in Quinlan. We are leaving after you check in with your 7th period teacher and should return around 9:30 PM

The Cross Country teams completed this past Saturday at the regional meet in Arlington. There were 21 teams and 150 runners in each race. In order to qualify for the state meet, you either have to finish in the top 10 of all runners or your team score has to be one of the best 3. The results are as follows.

There will be practice for the UIL journalism students today after school in Ms. Matthews' room at the junior high - Room 145. All students who are competing in any journalism event this year needs to attend practice. There will be no practice on Thursday of this week.
