ExxonMobil Awards Grants to Local Schools

SchoolCenter Picture

Kaufman ISD has received grants from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support local math and science programs. O.P. Norman Junior High and Monday Primary each received a $750 check.  Borders & Long Oil, Kountry Korner and Raja Mart worked with each school to secure the grants.  ExxonMobil awards 2400 grants per year based on stringent eligibility criteria.

The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.  ExxonMobil believes local distributors are best qualified to work with local educators to identify schools and programs most in need of support.

KISD Award for Tobacco Awareness

Kaufman ISD was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition for outstanding contributions to reducing children's access to tobacco. All of our KISD police officers and teachers have worked very hard over the years to combat the use of tobacco products in our young people. Due to this diligence, we have AGAIN, earned a grant from the Federal Government, allowing us to purchase educational products in the area of tobacco use reduction. Also, we are one of the few school districts in the state that are recognized as "Outstanding" for our efforts.
