Dear Parent/Guardian,

The 2011-2012 school year is quickly coming to an end. With this in mind, please read the following very important information concerning your child's spring exam schedule. The schedule has been modified as a reward for students working so hard throughout the school year.

Spring Exam Schedule:

§  Students will be released each day at 12:30, so please make arrangements to have someone pick up your child early these days.

§  Students that are not picked up at 12:30 will be assigned to a classroom until the regular school day ends.

§  School-Wide Picnic - June 1^st - Early Release Day District Wide

Exemption Policy as stated in Student Code of Conduct:

2^nd semester - Students passing all portions of the STAAR test and passing all course work will be exempt from all spring final exams.

With this being the first year of STAAR, scores will not be available until September or October, so the Exemption Policy for this year only is the following:

Criteria for Exemptions:

Must have taken STAAR
Meet the 90% attendance requirement
Pass all core subjects
