Trevor Thompson and Shelton Vasquez power Kaufman to Texas High School Bass Fishing Championship. 
Your average weekend bass fisherman would have watched the weather man and turned over and went to sleep on Saturday, April 28; however, 44 high school fishing teams braved the 30 plus mile per hour winds at Lake Ray Hubbard. Teams representing high schools from as far away as Carthage, Marble Falls and Eastland showed up for over $3,000 dollars in scholarships along with factory merchandise. ALL books returned by the end of the day on Friday will not be charged a late fee. Effective, Monday, May 21st, overdue fines will be in place. KHS Cheerleader Captain packets will be available in the office starting on Friday, May 18. If you are interested in taking Archery, Golf, or UIL Choir next year, please sign up in the counseling center ASAP. Thanks! All Academic UIL students who will be attending the pizza party on Friday to either wear or bring their UIL t-shirts for pictures. The picture is for a poster she plans to have made. All medication can began to be picked up AFTER SCHOOL starting today, May 8th. Any medications left after May 25th, will be destroyed. Any immunizations will need to be turned in by May 18th. ALL immunizations will need to be completed to start school in August. Any questions please contact the nurse. Athletic Physicalsfor the 2012-13 school year will be given on Wednesday, May 16, and Thursday, May 17, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the High School Main Gym. The cost is $20 and a portion of the proceeds go to the Kaufman ISD Sports Medicine program. Students are encouraged to arrive by 6:00 p.m. to be sure they will be seen by the doctors.
